For a hiker that just wants a budget, no frills safe and functional place to sleep - this fits the bill . It was a bonus to have a kitchenette because it really does help to keep my trip cost effective to make my own meals instead of ordering food . The firepit up front was also a nice bonus . It’s not fancy or updated but I can’t even complain about it - I slept comfortably and everything in the motel was functioning - kitchen, heat , hot water , etc . Location is also great - close to good hiking trails and businesses / restaurants .
It is a super great and cozy hotel! The location is great as it is located close to trails and a short drive to Phoenica. We loved the fire pit outside, perfect for a cool October night! Ken, the owner is very nice and made us feel at home. We will definitely come back!
Stopped for the night at this comfortable motel. The owner was very nice, gave us tips on finding the best colorful foliage in the area as well as restaurants. Knows the area well. The room has a kitchen included which was a nice feature. It’s not new or modern but it was clean and had a retro feel to it which I loved!

If you're skiing for a few days or just looking for a place to stay in the area, and you're a no frills/on a budget kind of person, this is the place for you. It's got even more than I needed - I barely used the kitchen at all. There's definitely an old school roadside motel vibe (think Schitt's Creek), the furniture is fairly old, and the tv in the room was a top of the line model in 1993. But who cares? Kinda charming if you ask me. Ken, the owner, is very accommodating and friendly - even helped to shovel out my car after 7 or 8 inches of snow overnight.
Best kept secret in the Catskills! Terrific host. Nice cozy, convenient room, well furnished kitchen and comfortable surroundings. Great burn pit out front for those cool mountain nights. Ideal after a long day on the road. Highly recommend.
Cozy room and great service! Room had full size bed and twin bed with pullout as well as a fold up cot for additional person. Also small kitchen w/ microwave small gas oven and stovetop as well as coffee maker. Updated bathroom and small closet for luggage. Free wifi was a big help as cell service is limited in the area. Owner was very hospitable and knowledgeable of surrounding area. Had a great hike up panther mountain! Awesome trip!
A very homey, retro motor court–style motel! The owner, Ken, is a great guy and is hugely helpful in giving advice to folks new to the area. Fantastic location, small, very friendly place with a great fire pit! Pet friendly! I more than loved it - good value for money also!
